Testurteil: "3 out of 5"
Test: Einzeltest: Nikon 1 J2
Zitat: The good: + The Nikon 1 J2 is smart, stylish and looks like it can handle a few knocks thanks to its solid and high quality construction. It´s also very user-friendly, meaning pretty much anyone can pick it up and start shooting great images - but it’s also quite capable in the hands of a more snap savvy user. On closer inspection, the Nikon 1 J2 shoots some high quality images, especially considering the size of the sensor. Noise is minimal, only becoming noticeable at high ISO levels in really low light, and paired with the bundled 10-30mm lens, it shoot some great photos, even handling low light fairly well. The camera´s anti-shake feature does a good job of keeping things steady too. While the J2 is not going to be in the same league as some of the more advanced mirrorless cameras, like Sony’s DSLR-sensor sized NEX snappers, it does a good job, especially in the video department, with impressive, Matrix-style slow-motion video capture at a rate of 400fps.
The bad: - While the Nikon 1 J2 is great for beginners, those wanting to make the most of the advanced options are going to struggle, simply because of the controls. Changing up more advanced options is a bit of a chore, but flicking through the various pre-set fun filters is a piece of cake. Lacking a viewfinder, or even a hotshoe to mount one, some shots might be harder to shoot than others too, and due to this, the viewing angle on the screen could be improved to get those tricky shots in. For its price, the Nikon 1 J2 is a very well made camera, but you could find better, more capable cameras that have more advanced features and better controls. For those looking for something a bit extra, the J2 is a bit lacking.
The Nikon 1 J2 tries its best to keep up with the other mirrorless cameras, and on some levels it succeeds. Its image quality and build quality are great and are well recommended, and for those who want to start their new hobby with a simple yet capable camera that can take great photos, the J2 is for you. But if you want something a bit more serious to dig into the settings with, you might want to look elsewhere.
