A central element of the work is therefore the strategic analysis of the Chinese automobile industry with application of classical instruments of the western management teachings (Chapter 9). The question if there has been developed its own "modern Chinese management style" since the economical opening of China, and thus considerably contributes to the dynamics of the Chinese automobile economy, represents the second core of the work (Chapter 10). A comparative Case Study between China and South Korea points out specific differences in the beginning of the developments of the two automobile industries, before a critical view into the near future of the Chinese automobile industry will finish this paper.

Paradise Lost is an epic poem in blank verse by English poet John Milton. Originally published in 1667 in ten books the second edition followed in 1674 divided into twelve with arguments at the head of each book. Milton scholars generally have used this edition as the standard for any new scholarly edition. Here is presented the twelve book version with arguments and selected illustrations. Paradise Lost concerns the story of the Fall of Man, the temptation of Adam and Eve by Satan and their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. In this context Katja Nothnagel identifies three main deficiencies in the present discussion on the RBV: 1. An inadequate understanding of the central constructs and the empirically revisable hypotheses of the RBV. 2. An insufficient comprehension regarding the state of the art of the empirical research on the RBV and therefore of the empirical power of the RBV. 3. An inadequate systematic in respect to the methodical problems and the evaluation of alternative methods of research. This is the starting point of Katja Nothnagel’s thesis, in that she aims to contribute to the elimination of all three deficiencies. Firstly, she concentrates on the ten most important theoretical publications on the RBV and thus identifies the three central constructs: resources, performance, and markets. These three central constructs are described in detail and defined. This represents an essential step in the establishment of a theory. Based on this she develops six central empirically revisable hypotheses for the RBV.
