Rose Richards Taming the Office Brat (Spicy Romantic Age Gap Collection, #4) A1070010132
She'll do anything or anyone to get her boss's attention...and finds the filthy happily ever after she never expected. 1 naughty office worker, 3 explicit stories The Boss's Naughty Brat After dropping out from college when I was caught on my knees too often with the professor's assistants, I got a job as a receptionist at the law firm of a family friend. My older, sexy boss is fun to tease. I can sense he wants me, but he refuses to touch me. I've always had a thing for older men, and he ticks all the boxes. He has that stern voice and firm hand that makes my entire body tingle. When he gets annoyed by me kneeling before an intern, it ignites something within me and now I'm unable to control myself. I'm going to taste everyone I can until he gives in to my desires. I've decided he's going to be my first and nothing else will satisfy me. The Boss's Naughty Toy My boss claimed me and thrilled me, but now he says it's a mistake and he won't take what I'm offering again... but he has no problem using a hard hand on my backside and making me a needy mess. When he offers me overtime on Saturday, I jump at the chance to be alone in the office with him. I wasn't expecting him to invite the interns to torment me. If I'm a good toy, he promises I'll get a treat. I'll do anything to get his long, hard treat. That better be my reward. The Boss's Naughty Pet When I start my new job, my much older boss quickly finds out I'm a slut who'll do anything to get his attention. It only takes two weeks before I'm on my knees in his office and promising to behave. Only... I'm not such a good pet, and I crave being bent over and the discipline of my boss's hard hand when I misbehave. I don't care that he's older than I am. I've decided that he's the only one I want and I'm going to get him. These short stories includes an OMYW, degradation dirty talk, BDSM with impact play, and power control, along with a HEA.

In My Early Life, Churchill describes his education and his experience in four wars on three continents as a young officer and newspaper correspondent, including his cavalry charge against the Dervishes at Omdurman in the Sudan and his capture and escape from a Boer prisoner of war camp in South Africa. He explains how he wrote his first five books and launched his political career before taking his seat in the House of Commons at twenty-six. By the time he wrote this book, the First World War had ushered in many changes, not all of them good, and Churchill perceived a low spirit in his countrymen. He thinks a time may come when young Britons will need more love of "adventure, and adventure for adventure's sake," which his early life exemplifies, and he offers "the new generation" his own "story of youthful endeavour" to encourage and rekindle the spirited part of their souls. Giving an account of his own life is a summons to young people who are drifting in an eddy of mass effects to surmount their fear of death, aiming to stir up unselfish endeavor in them. Lest anyone mistake his intention in writing the book, he dedicates it "TO A NEW GENERATION." This edition of My Early Life includes "The Dream." This short story was first mooted at a family meal at Churchill's country house at Chartwell in late November 1947, in the company of Winston and Clementine Churchill's children, Diana and Randolph. Diana asked her father, if he could conjure up anyone, who would fill an empty chair in the dining room. He replied that he would choose to dine with his own father, Lord Randolph Churchill, who had died more than fifty years earlier. He went on to describe a story he meant to write, based on a dream in which Lord Randolph returned to his son's painting studio to inquire what had occurred in the intervening half-century. Encouraged by his family's enthusiasm, Churchill wrote the story soon afterwards but, after revising it, set it aside to be published later. This "Private Article," as he styled it, first appeared a year after his death in the Sunday Telegraph, January 30, 1966, which described it as "his last story--locked away in a box for years--now published for the first time." By permission of Churchill College, it is reprinted, with explanatory editorial notes, as a fitting epilogue to Churchill's autobiography.

Her best friend disappeared. A stranger came back. SEX AND THE CITY MEETS STEPHEN KING'S THE SHINING IN THIS CHILLING DEBUT Julie is missing, and no one believes she will ever return-except Elise. Elise knows Julie better than anyone. She feels it in her bones that her best friend is out there and that one day Julie will come back. She's right. Two years to the day that Julie went missing, she reappears with no memory of where she's been or what happened to her. Along with Molly and Mae, their two close friends from college, the women decide to reunite at a remote inn. But the second Elise sees Julie, she knows something is wrong-she's emaciated, with sallow skin and odd appetites. And as the weekend unfurls, it becomes impossible to deny that the Julie who vanished two years ago is not the same Julie who came back. But then who-or what-is she? An eerie storm of a debut that fuses thriller and horror into a brilliant depiction of women's friendships - the rivalries, jealousies, anxieties and love . A brilliant rumination on friendship , pain, and the myriad of unsuccessful ways we all try to run from our past and fill the holes in our hearts. Harrison's keen prose won't let you go . Be warned, you'll double check the locks on your doors before you try to sleep' Mallory O'Meara, author of The Lady from the Black Lagoon 'By turns scary and funny , horrifying and real , The Return is impossible to put down. It takes an honest, scathing look at female friendship while at the same time pulling the reader into a perfect nightmare of a story ' Simone St. James, bestselling author of The Sun Down Motel 'The Return is supernatural horror at its very best ! Sharp dialogue, complex relationships and mind-bending action will have readers locking their doors and checking under their beds. Rachel Harrison has reinvented this genre and will surely be hailed as a pioneer among her peers' Wendy Walker, bestselling author of The Night Before ' Hair-raising horror and pure entertainment in Harrison's compulsively readable debut . . . The main characters were real, flawed and human. The story went along quickly and wasn't mired in too many unnecessary details. I really enjoyed it." —Reader review for The Killing Game "Alexa Chase is headstrong, impatient, but most of all brave with a capital B. Just in time for the holidays, designed by the Award-winning graphic novelist, Seth! This collection of books--identical to the individual volumes--ships shrinkwrapped, with two hardcovers containing complete strips from the years 1971-1972 and 1973-1974, packed in a sturdy custom box designed especially for this set. The perfect gift item. The Complete Peanuts 1971-1972 : Sally Brown elbows her way to center stage, at least among the humans, and is thus the logical choice for cover girl... and in her honor, the introduction is provided by none other than Broadway, television and film star Kristin (Wicked) Chenoweth, who first rose to Tony-winning fame with her scene-stealing performance as Sally in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Two long Summer-camp sequences involve Charlie Brown and Peppermint Patty, who has decided that Charlie Brown is madly in love with her, much to his clueless confusion. Snoopy shows up at camp as well, as does Peppermint Patty's new permanent sidekick, the one and only Marcie. The eternally mutable Snoopy mostly shakes off his World War I Flying Ace identity and turns into Joe Cool, college hipster extraordinaire. And in three long sequences he writes a fan letter to his favorite author, Miss Helen Sweetstory, then goes on a journey to meet her, and finally enlists Charlie Brown's help when her latest opus, "The Six Bunny-Wunnies Freak Out," falls afoul of censors. Also, Woodstock attends worm school, falls in love with a worm (perhaps the most doomed unrequited Peanuts love story ever!), and is nearly eaten by the neighbors' cat... Peppermint Patty is put on trial for another dress code violation and makes a very ill-advised choice in terms of lawyers... Snoopy turns Linus's blanket into not one but two sportcoats... Lucy hits a home run... and the birth of one Rerun Van Pelt! The Complete Peanuts 1973-1974 : This volume features a number of tennis strips and several extended sequences involving Peppermint Patty's friend Marcie (including a riotous, rarely seen sequence in which Marcie's costume-making and hairstyling skills utterly spoil a skating competition for PP), so it seems only right that this volume's introduction should be served up by Schulz's longtime friend, tennis champion Billie Jean King. This volume also picks up on a few loose threads from the previous year, as the mysterious "Poochie" shows up in the flesh; Linus and Lucy's new kid brother "Rerun" makes his first appearance, is almost immediately drafted onto the baseball team (where, thanks to his tiny strike zone, he wins a game), and embarks on his first terrifying journey on the back of his mom's bike; and, in one of Peanuts' oddest recurring storylines, the schoolhouse Sally used to talk to starts talking, or at least thinking, back at her! The Complete Peanuts 1973-1974 also includes one of the all-time classic Peanuts sequences, in which Charlie Brown's baseball-oriented hallucinations finally manifest themselves in a baseball-shaped rash on his head. Forced to conceal the embarrassing discoloration with a bag worn over his head, Charlie Brown goes to camp as "Mister Sack" and discovers that, shorn of his identity, he's suddenly well liked and successful.
Taylor & Francis A Concise Introduction to Pure Mathematics A1036923231
"In addition to preparing students to go on into mathematics, it is also a wonderful choice for a student who will not necessarily go on in mathematics but wants a gentle but fascinating introduction into the culture of mathematics. … This book will give a student the understanding to go on in further courses in abstract algebra and analysis. The notion of a proof will no longer be foreign, but also mathematics will not be viewed as some abstract black box. At the very least, the student will have an appreciation of mathematics. As usual, Liebeck’s writing style is clear and easy to read. This is a book that could be read by a student on his or her own. … While there is a difference in mathematical education between the U.K. and the U.S., this book will serve both groups of students extremely well."—From the Foreword by Robert Guralnick, University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA "Liebeck’s book stands out from the crowd of similar books by being short (as the title says, it is concise) and by trying to expose students to mathematical ideas beyond the basics of sets and logic. In addition to the pre-Analysis and pre-Algebra chapters, there are chapters on complex numbers, inequalities, some number theory and combinatorics, and the Platonic solids. Students are taught how to understand and create proofs, but they are also given a glimpse of what it is all for…applied mathematicians also need to know about proofs, counting, inequalities, bounds, and even groups — and this book could help them learn all that."—Fernando Q. Gouvêa, MAA Reviews, June 2016 Praise for Previous Editions:"It would in fact be difficult to find in this excellent book three consecutive pages that do not contain material useful to students or practitioners. … A diligent, active reader of this outstanding book will have the best foundation at minimum cost for making meaningful contributions to mathematics, science, or engineering."—Computing Reviews, November 2011 "Now in an updated and expanded third edition, A Concise Introduction to Pure Mathematics provides an informed and informative presentation into a representative selection of fundamental ideas in mathematics … . Of special note is the inclusion of solutions to all of the odd-numbered exercises. An ideal, accessible, elegant, student-friendly, and highly recommended choice for classroom textbooks for high school and college-level mathematics curriculums, A Concise Introduction to Pure Mathematics is further enhanced with a selective bibliography, an index of symbols, and a comprehensive index."—Library Bookwatch, December 2010 "This book displays a unique combination of lightness and rigor, leavened with the right dose of humor. When I used it for a course, students could not get enough, and I have been recommending independent study from it to students wishing to take a core course in analysis without having taken the prerequisite course. The material is very well chosen and arranged, and teaching from Liebeck’s book has in many different ways been among my most rewarding teaching experiences during the last decades."—Boris Hasselblatt, Tufts University, Medford, Massachusetts, USA "The book will continue to serve well as a transitional course to rigorous mathematics and as an introduction to the mathematical world … ."—Gerald A. Heuer, Zentralblatt MATH, 2009 "… a pleasure to read … a very welcome and highly accessible book."—Michael Ward, The Mathematical Gazette, March 2007
