The Herons take to the high seas to fend off pirates and rescue the heir to an empire in the newest adventure from John Flanagan, author of the worldwide bestselling Ranger's Apprentice! Includes BONUS content--a brand-new Ranger's Apprentice short story featuring fan-favorites Will and Maddie! In Hallasholm, Stig is contesting the annual Maktig competition to decide Skandia's greatest warrior. Lyric Johansen doesn’t like to look anyone in the eyes, but Keys’s gaze is the one thing keeping her from a full-on panic attack. Her instinct to charge into the fray and help the biker fend off a group of vicious thugs has led to the most insane situation she’s ever been in: trapped in a coffin with a man she barely knows, minutes away from a painful death. Survival means staying focused. But when Keys kisses Lyric to snap her out of losing it, he’s the one who ends up falling apart. He’ll need to unleash hell to get them out alive. If only to get another taste….

Art.Nr.: 300016031 Artikelbezeichnung: 1:6 Honda Gorilla Spring Collection About the Honda Gorilla Spring Collection In 1967, Honda Pioneered the field of "leisure motorcycles" with the release of the Monkey. The uniqueness of the Monkey made it an instant hit among the young and young at heart. In August 1978, Honda released the big brother of the Monkey and appropriately named it "Gorilla". Save the gas tank and seat, the Gorilla adopted fundamentally the same parts as the Monkey. The most defining aspect of the Gorilla is its swelled chest, an oversized gas tank, which boasts a capacity of 9 liters providing a 630km maximum running distance. Its powerplant was a 49cc air-cooled single cylinder SOHC engine, which was also used on Honda's best selling Super Cub. The Gorilla was also equipped with a manual 4-speed transmission, opposed to the automatic 3-speed system of the Monkey. Production was ceased in 1992 but the popularity of the machine, however did not dwindle, with the few remaining used Gorillas fetching premium prices. It was in February 1998 when Honda resumed production, this time bringing out a new Gorilla equipped with the Monkey's large headlamp and using chrome parts on the headlight casing, fender and other places. January 1999 saw the production of 3500 "Honda Gorilla Spring Collection" machines. This version was meant to shine, and features chrome parts on virtually every visible part of the bike. The gas tank, the side-cover, the front forks, the chain case, the wheels, the exhaust pipe cover, even the frame and swing arm glisten with gorgeous chrome. About the Model ?1/6 scale plastic assembly kit. Overall length: 226mm, width: 104mm, height: 183mm, ?Every characteristic of the 1998 version of the Honda Gorilla such as the larger headlamp, front fork, tank cap and emblems applied on the tank have been accurately replicated. ?Chrome-plated areas of the actual machine have been reproduced with metal-plated pa

KNV Besorgung William Eggleston's Guide A1003320722
William Eggleston's Guide was the first one-man show of colour photographs ever presented at The Museum of Modern Art, New York, and the Museum's first publication of colour photography. The reception was divided and passionate. The book and show unabashedly forced the art world to deal with colour photography, a medium scarcely taken seriously at the time, and with the vernacular content of a body of photographs that could have been but definitely weren't some average person's Instamatic pictures from the family album. These photographs heralded a new mastery of the use of colour as an integral element of photographic composition. Bound in a textured cover inset with a photograph of a tricycle and stamped with yearbook-style gold lettering, the Guide contained 48 images edited down from 375 shot between 1969 and 1971 and displayed a deceptively casual, actually superrefined look at the surrounding world. Here are people, landscapes and odd little moments in and around Eggleston's home town of Memphis - an anonymous woman in a loudly patterned dress and cat's eye glasses sitting, left leg slightly raised, on an equally loud outdoor sofa; a coal-fired barbecue shooting up in flames, framed by a shiny silver tricycle; the curves of a gleaming black car fender, and someone's torso; a tiny, grey-haired lady in a faded, flowered housecoat, standing expectant, and dwarfed in the huge dark doorway of a mint-green room whose only visible furniture is a shaded lamp on an end table. For this edition of William Eggleston's Guide, The Museum of Modern Art has made new colour separations from the original 35mm slides, producing a facsimile edition in which the colour will be freshly responsive to the photographer's intentions.

Exiled from the LAPD, Harry Bosch must clear his name, uncover a ring of prescription drug abuse, and outwit a clever killer before it's too late. Harry Bosch, exiled from the LAPD, is working cold cases for the San Fernando Police Department when all hands are called out to a local drugstore, where two pharmacists have been murdered in a robbery. Bosch and the tiny town's three-person detective squad sift through the clues, which lead into the dangerous, big-business world of prescription drug abuse. To get to the people at the top, Bosch must risk everything and go undercover in the shadowy world of organized pill mills. Meanwhile, an old case from Bosch's days with the LAPD comes back to haunt him when a long-imprisoned killer claims Harry framed him and seems to have new evidence to prove it. Bosch left the LAPD on bad terms, so his former colleagues are not keen on protecting his reputation. But if this conviction is overturned, every case Bosch ever worked will be called into question. As usual, he must fend for himself as he tries to clear his name and keep a clever killer in prison. The two cases wind around each other like strands of barbed wire. Along the way, Bosch discovers that there are two kinds of truth: the kind that sets you free and the kind that leaves you buried in darkness. Tense, fast-paced, and fueled by this legendary detective's unrelenting sense of mission, Two Kinds of Truth is proof positive that "Connelly writes cops better than anyone else in the business" ( New York Post). Pan macmillan Ltd. Ford 429/460 Engines A1052261595
Get your Ford and its 385 Series 429- or 460-ci big-block engine, also known as the Lima engine, back in action using this comprehensive rebuilding guide. In this revised edition of How to Rebuild Big-Block Ford Engines, now titled Ford 429/460 Engines: How to Rebuild, Ford expert Charles Morris covers all the procedures, processes, and techniques required to rebuild your powerplant. Step-by-step text provides details for determining whether your engine actually needs a rebuild, preparation and removal, disassembly, inspection, cleaning, machining and parts selection, reassembly, start-up, and tuning. Also included is a chapter on building the special Boss 429 engines, as well as a bonus chapter on the Ford 351 Cleveland, Ford's little brother to the big-block. Ford was unique in that it had two very different big-block engine designs during the height of the muscle car era. The original FE engine design was pioneered in the late 1950s, primarily as a more powerful replacement for the dated Y-block design. What began as a torquey engine meant to move heavyweight sedans morphed into screaming high-performance mill that won Le Mans and drag racing championships throughout the 1960s. By the late 1960s, the FE design was dated, so Ford replaced it with the 385 series in displacements of 429 and 460 ci, which was similar to the canted-valve Cleveland design being pioneered at the same time. It didn't share the FE pedigree of racing success, mostly due to timing, but the new design was better in almost every way; it exists via Ford Motorsports' offerings to this day. Beginning in 1971, the 429 found its way between the fenders of Mustangs and Torinos in high-compression 4-barrel versions called the Cobra Jet and Super Cobra Jet, and it was one of the most powerful passenger car engines that Ford had ever built. If the muscle car era had not died out shortly after the release of these powerful engines, without a doubt, the 429 performance variants would be ranked with the legendary big-blocks of all time. If you are planning to rebuild a Ford 429 or 460 engine, are in the process of a rebuild, or just want to learn more about Ford's storied engines, this book is a must-have item for your shelf.
Career Professionals Tube Guitar Amplifiers Volume 2 A1046061518
Volume 2 of the most complete and practical modern reference on tube guitar amplifiers In Volume 1 we've laid the groundwork for more practical aspects of guitar amps that will be covered in this volume, namely amp troubleshooting & repair, modifications & improvements, and construction (building). Out of necessity, Volume 1 was a bit more theoretical of the two. Understanding operational principles and design & analysis tools is necessary to fully master the hands-on stuff, so you will know not only what should be done and how, but also why or why not. The first two chapters of this volume deal with the final stages in the amplification chain, namely output transformers, loudspeakers, attenuators and headphone/line out circuitry. Chapter 3 covers the basic troubleshooting and amplifier repair tools and methods. Chapter 4 discusses practical wiring, soldering and circuit modification issues seldom or never mentioned in other books. Although numerous circuit modifications and improvements have been dispersed throughout both volumes, chapters 5 and 6 cover two specific areas where mods are particularly effective and noticeable, namely in power supplies and in tone changes through simple changes such as tube and component substitutions. Chapter 7 is a review and analysis of a few modern push-pull amplifiers such as Orange Tiny Terror, Jet City JCA20H, Fender Excelsior and Epiphone Electar Century. These case studies illustrate common issues and improvement options. The DIY project section (last five chapters) will take you through a dozen or so unique amplifier designs, some single-ended, other of push-pull, using different preamp and less common output tubes, such as 12FQ8, 12A6, 5687, 12AU7, 6SN7, 6AR6, 6BX7, 6EM7, ECL86 and PL508. Of course, there are also designs and DIY projects with much loved favorites such as EL84, 6V6, 6L6, EL34, and 7027A. Finally, we look at examples of vintage tube gear that already contain a tube amplifier inside and how to quickly and easily convert them into guitar amps. This practical DIY manual is richly and professionally illustrated with photographs of tubes, components and amplifiers, circuit diagrams, tube pinouts, curves and loadlines, graphs and charts. These valuable illustrations make it faster and easier to comprehend issues, a picture is truly worth a thousand words! All the information required to design and build tube guitar amplifiers is compiled in one place. Who is this book for? •Guitar players wanting to learn how tubes and tube amplifiers work. • DIY constructors who want to build, service or modify tube guitar amps. • Buyers and sellers of tube guitar amps who need a better understanding of tube technology. • Electronic technicians and engineers familiar with solid state devices and amps, who want to expand their knowledge of tubes and their circuits. • Anyone who wants to learn how to design, build, test, fix, or upgrade tube guitar amps. Contents of Volume 2: • OUTPUT AND INTERSTAGE TRANSFORMERS FOR TUBE GUITAR AMPS • LOUDSPEAKERS, OUTPUT ATTENUATORS & HEADPHONE CIRCUITS • TROUBLESHOOTING AND REPAIRING TUBE GUITAR AMPLIFIERS • WIRING, SOLDERING & MODIFICATION PRACTICES • POWER SUPPLY MODIFICATIONS AND IMPROVEMENTS • TONE TWEAKS • MODERN PUSH-PULL AMPS • DIY PROJECTS: CONVERTING SOLID STATE GUITAR AMPS TO TUBES • DIY PROJECTS: ULTRA-SMALL AMPS • REBULDING COMMERCIAL AMPS IN A HANDWIRED (POINT-TO-POINT) FASHION • DIY PROJECTS: QUIRKY & UNUSUAL DESIGNS • CONVERTING VINTAGE TUBE GEAR INTO GUITAR AMPS
