Der harte, gitarrenorientierte Rock weist viele Soli auf und hat eine druckvolle Produktion. Auch ein paar obligatorische Balladen dürfen nicht fehlen (), schreibt das Online Magazin Cosmic Dreams At Play (1996). Damit liegen sie nicht falsch, aber es fehlen noch einige Zutaten. Auch ohne vertrackte, komplizierte Parts schwingt auch bei Floating Opera noch der Prog der Siebziger mit, während man auf der anderen Seite heute von Proto-Metal sprechen würde. Heavy Metal-Fans werden u.a. beim Titelsong bemerken, dass die Vocals von Andreas Ulbricht stellenweise an J.D. Kimball von Omen erinnern. Das Wort Krautrock darf dann, wenn 1981 auch verspätet, ebenso fallen. Mehrere Wochen wurde ohne Resultat nach mehr Infos über diese Band gesucht. Lediglich Drummer Peter Garattoni, heute ganz weit weg von Rock- und Metalmusik, ist ein Begriff. Man kennt ihn nicht nur als Schlagzeuger von Eulenspygel, sondern auch als einer von zwei Bossen der Firma GAMA Musikverlag, die spätestens ab Ende 1983 als Company für Heavy Metal bekannt wurden (Stormwitch, Gravestone, Tyrant, SDI, Darkness, Tokyo Blade) und wo er auch in diesem Segment als Schlagwerker auftauchte (Veto, Maniac, Tox). Die anderen Beteiligten von FLOATING OPERA aus dem Raum Stuttgart sind auch Insidern im entsprechenden Alter nicht bekannt. So bleibt es bei dieser raren LP, die nun in remasterter Form erstmals auf CD und (leider verspätet) auf LP wiederveröffentlicht wird. Das Vinyl wurde von Patrick Engel im Temple Of Disharmony überspielt und anschließend von Neudi remastert. Die LP wurde zusätzlich von Vadim Kulin auf die Bedürfnisse des Mediums Vinyl gemastert. Das Booklet ist leider nicht so umfangreich, wie man es von Golden Core Reissues gewöhnt ist, aber es enthält Liner Notes von Neudi, die auch auf das Thema die Frühphase von GAMA Records eingehen. Dazu natürlich Scans vom Original Vinyl. Der LP liegt ein bedrucktes, farbiges Inlay bei.
