Harrison My life's goal? Make plants fun! I'm gonna be fighting for flora when I'm older and it all starts with auditing stats so I can level up for my masters, and lucky for me, the intriguing guy in my class is a math whizz. He's standoffish at first, but after a class where I bet my sitcoms can make him laugh, one bet leads to another and we're hanging out all the time. Even though I know he's interested in me, we're easy friends, until I start to think I might be a little interested in him, too. The only problem? He seems like a totally different guy in class to when we hang out. I brush it off as him trying to concentrate, but then I spot something I can't explain away. A scar. On his palm. One I'm positive Benny has never had before. Benny Since we were little, my twin brother and I have always switched things up-literally. It started as funsies, and now we're college juniors and still taking each other's classes. I suck at Math, he sucks at English, and we both have a rule not to make friends in class as the other person. Our system is perfect. Only Emmett has the audacity to get sick right before stats and I have to actually show up for my own class-where I meet my future husband. Harrison is smart, weirdly into plants, and we instantly hit it off like old friends. Only of course the gorgeous mountain of a nerd is straight. Just when I'm telling myself to let my dreams of matching rings go, our text messages become constant, flirtier, deeper than I've had with any other guy before. My butterflies have butterflies every time we catch up. And then I get a text from Emmett: I'm so sorry. I think I messed up.

So why not pick up and move to a new city, start a new job, and become a totally new person? I've never been on an Airplane or outside of New York City, but so what? People-ing is hard. Harder than I thought. But I've gotten sucked into this big, wild family, and I kind of like it. So maybe I can start a new life. Maybe I can cross some things off my Get a New Life list. But never in a million years did I think I'd do any of them with my boss. But suddenly, there I am, laying on top of him in a crowd of people…Whoops; that came out dirtier than it was in my head. So what's a virgin, frump of a woman supposed to do when her sexy boss starts staring, and touching and trying to take care of her? No really…I have no idea what I'm doing. Help!

Macedon. 367 BC. Philip II is bringing war to Persia. Forged in the warrior culture of Macedonia, the time has come for his young son Alexander to take up his inheritance of blood and obedience to the sword. It is a training that has made the boy sadistic; fiercely brilliant, but unstable. A dangerous trait in a king fated to rule the vastest empire of the ancient world. Compelled to teach this startling, precocious, sometimes horrifying child, Aristotle soon realises that what the boy needs most to learn - thrown before his time onto his father's battlefields - is the lesson of the golden mean, the elusive balance between extremes that Aristotle hopes will mitigate the boy's will to conquer in this age of fighting heroes... _________________________ Readers love The Golden Mean 'Reminds me very much of The Song of Achilles' 'Totally absorbing' 'A page turner' 'It's always a pleasure when an ambitious book succeeds' 'I loved this'

GRIN FotografInnen im Spannungsfeld zwischen Manifestationen und Auflösung. Jede Fotografie ein Selbstbildnis? A1060329478
¿I get totally out of myself. It was the toothpaste smeared around the sink that broke my marriage. As I rubbed it away AGAIN, I was reminded of everything else I've put up with these twenty-five years. My husband's obsession with his pension, his ability to charm me into every single one of his ideas, never being taken on a romantic date, let alone ravished on the patio (like the woman who lives next door)… small things, but the realisation was huge. Just when Lucy Jones thinks her marriage is about to screech to a halt over toothpaste, her husband, Leo, announces he wants to move to tumbledown (clapped-out) Rose Cottage, and Lucy knows she'll be the one managing the renovations. Then along comes gorgeous builder Will, ten years younger and the only person actually listening to Lucy. His twinkly eyes and blowtorch smile are causing Lucy to break out in a hot sweat – but is it love, lust or simply dodgy hormones that are causing her heart to flutter? Lucy loves her husband, but everyone knows that little things build up. And then they explode. Can Lucy keep it together, or will there be one last straw she might not be able to get over? A laugh-out-loud romp with an ending that will make you gasp! Perfect for fans of Tracy Bloom, Sophie Kinsella and Dawn French. What readers are saying about Lucy's Last Straw: 'My favourite book this year… had me literally LAUGHING OUT LOUD… This book had me laughing, crying and rooting for Lucy on all the way. I loved it and recommend it for everyone!' Being Miss Meg, 5 stars 'Absolutely hilarious. It is so easy for any woman to relate to this book… sooooo good. I read this in just a few hours as I simply couldn't put it down. Go and grab your copy now. It's one everyone will be talking about this year.' Goodreads reviewer, 5 stars 'Wow!...
