Fachhochschule Jena, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "Früher war alles besser, früher war alles gut ...", so singen es die Toten Hosen in einem ihrer Lieder. Diese Aussage ist im Osten aktueller als man denkt, denn in den neuen Bundesländern tun sich seit Harz IV viele neue Ängste auf. Da ist vom Abrutschen in tiefste soziale Regionen und totaler Verarmung die Rede. Viele dieser Bürger äußern sich ganz offen darüber, dass sie sich manchmal die DDR zurück wünschen. Sicherlich gab es nicht alles und man hatte andere Probleme zu bewältigen; jedoch war man we-nigstens sozial abgesichert, sozusagen ein Rundum-Sorglos-Paket. Bis zum heutigen Tage bewerten viele Bürger der neuen Länder die Sozialpolitik, vor allem die Arbeitsplatzsicherheit, als das Beste der ehemaligen DDR. Aber was ist dran an diesen Aussagen? Trifft diese positive Bewertung zu oder wird Vergangenes im rosigen Licht erstrahlt, um von aktuellen Alltagssorgen abzulenken?Diese Hausarbeit soll einen kleinen Einblick in die Sozialpolitik der ehe-maligen DDR geben und vielleicht den einen oder anderen Irrtum beseitigen.
