Testurteil: "3 out of 5"
Test: Einzeltest: JVC Everio GZ-GX1
Zitat: The good: + The addition of Wi-Fi lets you control the JVC Everio GZ-GX1 remotely using a smartphone or tablet for real-time monitoring your subjects via a live video feed without having to even look at the JVC Everio GZ-GX1. Use it as a security or surveillance device and the JVC Everio GZ-GX1 will even snap a still photo should a moving subject enter the frame. It’s a neat little feature that can also be used to record difficult subjects with less intrusion into the field. Wi-Fi also means you can upload videos to YouTube or Facebook using linking your smartphone to the JVC Everio GZ-GX1. An array of automatic modes for different conditions helps in most situations. A low light mode for example will make images appear brighter. You’ve also got fun effects for further just-for-fun customisation. That said, image quality throughout certainly stands up. Images are bright, clear and display lots of colour. Low light settings might be needed for darker shots, but on the whole the JVC Everio GZ-GX1 performs very well, particularly when shooting people. Its face detection skills and image stabilisation guarantee wobble-free footage.
The bad: - A lack of manual controls makes the JVC Everio GZ-GX1 feel somewhat less professional than some of its competitors, resulting in less accuracy and finesse in shots requiring abuse of the zoom mode. Users are recommended to stick with the optical zoom. The JVC Everio GZ-GX1 doesn’t cope quite so well with digital zoom. Use it and you risk ruining your footage with grainy shots with little detail.
The addition of Wi-Fi is a nice touch that lends lots of extra functionality to the JVC Everio GZ-GX1, but it’s the video quality that matters. Thankfully images come out great, and with lots of colour and sharpness to make the JVC Everio GZ-GX1 an able all-rounder.
