Testurteil: "3 out of 5"
Test: Einzeltest: Sony AIR-SA20PK
Zitat: The good: + When the SA20PK works, it works very well indeed. The S-AIR technology delivers crisp, clean, well synchronised sound, although it lacks low-end grunt. The spangly main remote control lets you hunt out tunes from your iPod, change lighting and sound effects, as well as control what’s playing in other rooms (basically either iPod or AM/FM radio). The system is small, neat and can feed basic standard def video to your TV, too.
The bad: - How the mighty have fallen - Sony has gone from inventing portable audio to churning out iPod accessories in a few short decades. This budget effort won’t do it many favours – the slave unit remotes can’t navigate your iPod, the wireless system doesn’t like brick walls (keep boxes as close as possible) and where’s the Wi-Fi for grabbing files from a PC or internet radio?
Can Sony deliver a Sonos-like experience at a fraction of the price? Well, yes and no. The main dock has a whizzy remote and wireless sound is great – as long as the slave units aren’t too far away. Fine for iPod junkies but more ambitious media shifters should look elsewhere.
