W ostatnich miesiącach wielu znanych producentów wprowadziło nowe konstrukcje, przez co DF-35, który jest już w sprzedaży od pewnego czasu, dosyć wyraźnie wykazuje swoje braki. Model ten oferuje nam nowoczesny design, który powinien przypaść go gustu głównie młodym użytkownikom komputerów. Obudowa ta, oferuje oczywiście kilka ciekawych rozwiązań, jak chociażby przemyślane otwierane drzwiczki z wentylatorem i regulacją obrotów z przodu, czy też wygodny hot-swap na froncie. W DF-35 zastosowano cztery wysokiej jakości wentylatory, które charakteryzują się wysoką kulturą pracy. Niestety dużo bardziej rzuca nam się w oczy brak beznarzędziowego montażu, wyrywane zaślepki kart rozszerzeń, brak otworów doprowadzenia okablowania za tacą płyty głównej, niezastosowanie otworów w miejscu pod zasilaczem.

Zitat: Do I look the look and styling of the Antec DF-35? Yes, I can honestly say I do. The front facial is far different from anything else on the market. It was cool to see that each drive bay has its own little door. Also to be able to open the front to get to the drives and the front dust filters was very convenient. But I do understand that the drive bay door maybe a nuisance for some having to open it each time you have to access an optical drive. If this happens to be the case then that hinged door can be removed from the case all together. It seems that external hot-swap docks and internal bays are fast becoming a feature in mid to high end cases. The DF-35 has a nice one sitting on the top of the case, the only thing is it can support 2.5” drives. We feel it is necessary to support both: 2.5” and 3.5”. Especially for people always working on other people half broken drives. The last of the features that I like to mention is that all fans are controllable from the outside of the case. The top and rear fans are controlled by switches at the rear of the case, and the front fans have individual dials in the front doors. The DF-35 could use some tool-less upgrades as everything we did with it required us having to screw components in place. This led to a lot of time being wasted in the building process. Lastly, in the next model some more room behind the motherboard tray would be appreciated. (Editor´s Note: I think it´s fair to ask that the expansion slot´s not have ´Ye Olde´ twist-off panels that can´t be put back in once removed. Also at least an inch of clearance between the bottom of the case and the PSU would be helpful so you don´t have to mount it so the fan faces up, which totally screws up a cases airflow... A rather small inclusion may be 2.5" to 3.5" drive adapters so one could utilize the hot-swap bays for SDDs as well) Besides the above cons, the Antec DF-35 is not a bad case. It´s those few modifications that would make it out to be a better case. Because of that, we are only giving it the ‘Approved’ award.
