Test: Einzeltest: ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3 Socket AM3 Motherboard
Zitat: For many the ASUS M4A88TD-M may be just another mATX motherboard, and that is true, but it is one of the better mATX out there. For those that are looking for stability, ample video options and great looks, then this is the one for you. What´s more, you will not have to pay an arm and a leg for it. At $95 you can have a motherboard with a lot of bells, and a few whistles even! ASUS is known for their rock-solid motherbaords and this is a prime example of one. Because of that, after the testing was done I decided to integrate it into my HTPC, as I wanted to upgrade it from a dual core 775 CPU. In the time it has been running I have yet to experience a single hiccup. For those that are looking to build a little LAN gaming rig or a small everyday system, but also looking for that extra performance gain, you will be happy to hear the board does overclock pretty well. Just because you are paying a lower price for an 880G motherboard does mean you have to give up good overclocking? Apparently not since we managed a nice increase from our 965 Black Edition CPU, with our overclocking quest ending us at 4064MHz with 1.5 volts. I am really impressed with all that ASUS includes when choose purchasing one of their motherboards. Features like Core Unlocker and TurboV which allows you to get the most out of your multi-core processor without really having to do anything. And not only do they make overclocking the CPU easy they make it easy to get more out of the iGPU using GPU Boost. If I had to look for some sort of con about this motherboard, I would have to narrow it down simply to the lack of an additional PCIe 16x slot, just for those that want to Crossfire a couple of Radeon cards to double their HTPC as game console substitue. But in it´s defense it is not aimed at someone who is after an extreme gaming rig, instead it is for those that prefer a nice budget motherboard and from a manufacturer they have actually heard of.
