Bottom line: As we have mentioned in previous Z77 chipset-based board reviews, you need to be using the ASUS-integrated features for the asking price to make sense. As it is, given what ASUS has implemented, we´d like to see the price come down to the right side of £150 before dishing out recommendations.

Sicherlich liegt ein Teil der Ursache bei den vielen zusätzlichen Controllern für USB 3.0, SATA 6 Gbit/s usw. Daher würden wir für einen Rechner, der niemals schlafen geht, definitiv ein anderes Mainboard empfehlen. Falls das System dagegen nur tagsüber aktiv ist, sollte dieses Mainboard definitiv in die engere Auswahl genommen werden. Der Intel Z77 Chipsatz verhält sich von der Leistung aus betrachtet wie sein Vorgänger. Wer die neuen Features - auch der kommenden Ivy Bridge CPUs - nicht benötigt, kann daher auch zur alten Generation greifen und möglicherweise einige Euros sparen.
