Test: Einzeltest: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus
Zitat: As we just saw, the Cooler Master 212 Plus provides good performance for the price. While it is certainly not the most powerful cooler out there, at just $35 USD, it holds its own on the market. Not only does the Hyper 212 Plus perform well, but its performance is dramatically improved by the cheap (or free) upgrade that is an additional fan. From a usage standpoint, the Hyper 212 Plus has some good aspects and some not-so-good ones. On the plus side, the fan mounting system is super convenient and easy, just like the one on the Hyper TX3. There is no fussing with stiff metal mounting clips, rather just a simple plastic mount. Soft pads ensure that the plastic system doesn´t add any noise to the cooler´s performance. The mounting system, however, is unnecessarily complex. Other coolers at about the same weight, such as the OCZ Vendetta 2, have successfully used standard push-pin style mounting systems. Just mounting the backplate for the Hyper 212 Plus requires various non-standard screws and hardware. Personally, I feel that Cooler Master should have opted for a less obfuscated installation system for the Hyper 212 Plus. The Hyper 212 Plus is a good cooler for the money. It´s solid, though not quite high-end, performance leaves room for moderate overclocking on a modern computer. Also, the Hyper 212 Plus is very reasonably priced at around $35. While I wasn´t impressed by the mounting system, it is otherwise a very solid cooler and worth every penny. For its good value and performance, the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus earns the OCIA.net Silver Seal of Approval.
