Eventually we´ve plumped for the Sony over the Panasonic, but only just. Both perform brilliantly with pictures and sonics, both are good looking enough to grace any living room and both are relatively simple to set up and have running in minutes. So it comes down to the fact that the Sony HTP-BD3IS is a 5.1 system out of the box as opposed to Panny´s 3.1, and that´s two more speakers. It´s not much of a difference, but it´s enough.
