Test: Einzeltest: Corsair Nautilus500: LGA775
Zitat: Simple and reasonably effective for Athlon 64; crap for LGA775
As a first foray into the world of water cooling, the Nautilus500 at least offers simplicity and, for Athlon 64 CPUs, decent performance. However, there´s no upgrade path; if you wanted to add GPU or chipset waterblocks at a later date, then the single 120mm radiator means that performance would plummet. As it stands, the Nautilus500 is too expensive, too loud, and isn´t an effective enough cooler to compensate for this. Performance on Athlon 64 may be good but, for £15, you can buy an Arctic Cooling Freezer HSF that will do the job almost as efficiently, and considerably more so for LGA775 systems. If you must have water in your PC, we suggest going the whole hog and buying a more sophisticated kit such as the Elite-listed Swiftech H2O - Apex Ultra.
