Test: Einzeltest: OCZ Agility 2 SandForce-based 60GB Solid State Drive
Zitat: If cost was your reason for not jumping on the SSD bandwidth, you will be happy to know that things are changing. As time goes by and technology progresses, we see new controllers being placed in many of the market’s solid state drives. With this happening the prices are turning in a downward spiral. This is great for us consumers as solid state drives are right now the best upgrade you can make, depending on the purpose of your PC. With that being said we find that the OCZ Agility 2 models, especially the 60GB version, is a great drive to consider for that upgrade. The Agility 2 is without a doubt one of the fastest units we have ever tested here at Pro-Clockers, and we found that it came at a price many people looking for a SSD would appreciate. The first place we checked for prices online was Newegg, where it could be had for $160 after a $10 mail in rebate. The Agility 2 offered all the benefits that the Sandforce controller is known for, fast random access and high IOPS, which is what many of us are looking for in a SSD. We know that many of you are not going to take your new SSD home and start running random benchmarks like the ones we used. Chances are you rely on sites like this one to do that for you, but once in your rig you will instantly notice the change. Quick boot ups, fast application loading, and silence are just a few advantages. A heavy load really needs to be applied to actually get the Agility 2 to break a sweat. The Agility 2 is offered from 40GB to an incredible 480GB, with each being available at your favorite retailer. OCZ breaks the lineup into three groups when it comes to performance, with the middle storage capacity models (50 to 240GB) performing the best.
