Speaking about losing things, we love the retractable design as it helps protect the USB connector when not in use and makes it impossible to lose that cap that always falls off and gets left behind. The retractable USB cap did move rather easily though, so if you wanted something that stayed down 100% of the time this drive might not be the ideal solution for you. I can say today that Patriot had made its way onto my key chain with an excellently performing device that I can carry around with me 24/7 and hold pretty much everything I´ll need to have with me when it comes to digital data! Legit Bottom Line : When it comes down to it, the Patriot Xporter XT Rage 32GB is a solid performing flash drive that features a great price and a lifetime warranty!

Chances are you will use such a flash drive to transport music maybe video and other larger files which is idea reason to have the Xporter XT Rage handy. At $70 or so the Rage flash drive is quite competitively priced with other performance models, but about the same as a external 320GB to 500GB drive. Price-wise the advantage goes to the external drive, but that means you will have to suffer through the pain of having to carry around a much bulkier item, plus the USB cable. Not the case with the Patriot Xporter XT Rage. However, if you do not need this much space you can elect to get the 16GB model which goes for about $35.

When it comes to pricing, 32GB drives range from 49.99 to 284.99 USD, so clearly the Rage XT is priced on the lower side of the meridian line. Corsair claims to have the fastest USB 2.0 thumb drive (not tested in house to date), but it comes with a price tag of 79.99 USD, 13 Dollars more than the Rage XT and uses a very aged design with a cap.
