At first glance we see a nice, clean-cut, and smooth mid-tower case, at second glace you begin to see all of the work the engineers did in order to make such an incredible case even more amazing. The SilverStone Fortress FT01 is easily the luxury sports car of the mid-tower´s that rivals some full tower designs. The simple elegance of the soft lines and tight fitted construction screams quality and perfection. As we have seen the SilverStone Fortress FT01 is a case without many flaws. In fact the only negative aspect is the price. The FT01 does not come cheap. Finally we have the positive air pressure cooling system and all of its benefits. Good case ventilation means that air cooled heatsinks will operate at their fullest cooling capacity, large 180mm fans will move massive amounts of air with minimal amounts of noise, and while fan filters have been provided the separation of cooling spaces helps to minimize slow moving air and thus dust is simply whisked away. Of course the FT01 cannot promise massive overclocks but good ventilation is a step in the right direction.

Viele positive Aspekte hätten das FT-01 zum Gold-Award bringen können, allerdings verhinderten das Punkte wie z.B. die Festplattenentkopplung, die von Silverstone erneut nur halbherzig geplant wurde. So übertönen die Festplatten im Betrieb die wirklich leisen mitgelieferten Lüfter deutlich. Dennoch reicht es dem Silverstone FT-01 zum Silent-Award, denn die mitgelieferten Lüfter können wie gesagt auf voller Linie überzeugen. Verbaut man zudem eine nicht allzu laute Festplatte, gestaltet sich der Lautstärkepegel noch relativ gering. Beim Design hat Silverstone unserer Meinung nach erneut einen Glückstreffer gelandet. Verarbeitungsqualität und die unten genannten Vorteile tragen dazu bei, dass sich das Silverstone FT-01 mit seinem Award nicht vor anderen Gehäusen verstecken muss.
