Zalman GS1000

Zitat: The GS1000 Plus finds itself in a bit of a bind. At £140, it´s not a cheap case. It´s out done in several areas - particularly cooling, but also adaptability - by other cases which are often much cheaper. While it does have some unique design features, there´s certainly nothing too interesting over and above what the original had (we´d certainly not recommend upgrading from a GS1000 to the GS1000 Plus). What we´d like to see in the next model are some decent intake fans and mesh or larger vents in the roof and on the front fan intakes. At the moment, despite the changes incorporated over and above the GS1000, the GS1000 Plus is a long way from living up to its full potential.

Zitat: A Zalman ház összeállítására igazából egy rossz szavunk sem lehet. Nem hibátlan persze, de olyat amúgy sem egyszeru alkotni. Az anyagminoségben annyi kivetnivalót találtunk, hogy túl soknak éreztük a muanyagok használatát. A lábak, az ezüst színu díszítokeret, a gépház hatalmas teteje mind-mind fényes muanyagból készültek. A winchesterkereteket nyilván nem vesszük ide, annak csak örültünk, hogy nem fémek. Az acél- és alumíniumkomponensek egyébként teljesen rendben voltak. A széleket, sarkokat szépen megmunkálták, le voltak kerekítve, sorjás részt nem találtunk sehol. A ház külso megjelenésével is meg voltunk elégedve. A muanyagokat azért ellensúlyozták a szálcsiszolt alumínium- és acélelemek. Az oldallapok gépház eleje felé íves meghajlítása különösen tetszett. A beszerelésnél is minden rendben ment. Sehol nem volt szoruló alkatrész, beeroltetni sem kellett semmit. A szerszámmentes összeállításnak hála, az alaplap, táp és merevlemez beszereléséhez még egy csavarhúzót sem kellett elovennünk. Ötletes megoldásnak találtuk a nagyfeju csavarokat, amik kilazítva is a helyükön maradnak, tehát el sem veszíthetjük oket. Az oldallapok kiszedését könnyíto hátsó fogantyúkat is hasznosnak találtuk. A Zalman házba összesen öt, 12 centiméteres ventilátort tehetünk, ám csak kettot kapunk hozzá. Egy ilyen árkategóriájú házhoz azért kicsit többet vártunk volna. Mint ahogy cikkünkbol kiderült, a Zalman GS1000 házának összesen három típusa létezik. A GS1000 alumíniumborításával szemben a GS1000 SE oldallapjai acélból készültek, ami a súlyán is meglátszik, több mint 17 kilóra növeli azt. Az SE továbbá hot-swap panellel sem rendelkezik, de opcionálisan természetesen vásárolhatunk hozzá. A GS1000 fényes borításával szemben az egyszerubb ház csak matt bevonatot kapott. A harmadik modell, a GS1000 Plus merevlemezfiókokat elrejto, lehajtható ajtóiba pedig egy-egy 92 milliméteres ventilátort is elhelyeztek, így összesen négy légkavaróval van felszerelve, egyébként felépítésben megegyezik az alaptípussal. Hutési teljesítménye a vártak szerint jól alakult, felszereltségét, kinézetét tekintve sem lehet okunk panaszra, tetszett a Zalman GS1000. A házat 46 740 forintos áron vásárolhatjuk meg.

The six removeable hard drive trays them themselves would set you back a few benjamins alone. The cooling possibilities are tremendous as it has room for five 120mm fans. And we can´t forget about the cable management of the GS1000 which no case comes close to with spending more money or modding the case. This case is definately worth the time and money spent when it comes to just these few features. Now the case is not without its negatives points. The inability to cool your hard drives was a letdown. And the use of plastic on the front, top and bottom of the case will not go over with alot of people. But I do think it keeps the price down to where it is affordable to alot more people. Lastly, Zalman is known for quietness when it comes to there products, well I don´t think that was the motto with the GS1000 as the fans included are alittle noisey. So, a fan controller would be needed. If one was included that would be even better. Overall, I still like the case as its functionality outweighs its negatives ever so slightly.
