Auf Basis des Brennstoffzellenmodells von Larminie und Dicks wird ein zeitabhängiges Lebensdauerprognosemodell entwickelt. Die Modellparameter werden Alterungsprozessen zugeordnet, sodass sich anhand der bei verschiedenen Betriebsarten auftretenden Änderungen der Parameter die Alterungsprozesse und damit die geschädigten Komponenten innerhalb der Brennstoffzelle ausfindig machen lassen. Through implementation of a gas supply, alternating from one cell to the next, the current profile becomes more uniform with a better distribution of the humidity in the fuel cell system, causing higher conductivity of the membrane and the current inhomogeneities to be reduced. Based on the fuel cell model from Larminie and Dicks a time-dependent lifetime model is developed. The model parameters are correlated with aging mechanisms, so that through changes of the parameters, that are induced by different modes of operation, the aging processes and thereby the damaged components in the fuel cell can be located. The result is a closed formula for the life-time prediction of fuel cells. This method is then translated to batteries and a formula for the life-time estimation of batteries is developed.
