And as such, it´s tough to pick a clear winner. The Samsung system is notable among the others thanks to its higher price tag and 7.1 credentials. Demonstrably a system aimed at the big brash consumer, it´s got oodles of power and performs very well visually, but is Profile 1.0 only and lacks a little subtlety for the average all-in-one enthusiast. JVC´s system is also a stellar performer, boosted by its media streaming capability. What it lacks in style it more than makes up for in performance, but doesn´t quite reach the heights of the Sony and Panasonic systems in terms of build quality and kerb appeal. Eventually we´ve plumped for the Sony over the Panasonic, but only just. Both perform brilliantly with pictures and sonics, both are good looking enough to grace any living room and both are relatively simple to set up and have running in minutes. So it comes down to the fact that the Sony HTP-BD3IS is a 5.1 system out of the box as opposed to Panny´s 3.1, and that´s two more speakers. It´s not much of a difference, but it´s enough.
