Niemand der Umliegenden Passanten hätte ahnen können oder müssen, was die beiden Jungen mit dem Kleinkind vorhaben. Niemand wusste, dass der zwei Jährige von den beiden 10 Jährigen wenige Stunden später misshandelt und getötet werden würde. Die beiden Jungen haben das schreiende Kleinkind vier Kilometer durch die Innenstadt von Liverpool getrieben, ohne dass jemand von den Hunderten, die ihren Weg kreuzten und ihnen begegneten, sie überholten oder ihnen auswichen, aufmerksam geworden oder gar eingeschritten hätte. Fassungslos stand im Februar 1993 England und der Rest der Welt da. Es gab weder ein Motiv, einen Grund oder gar einen Sinn zu erkennen. Doch schon bald hatte man eine Erklärung zur Hand. Ein Horror-Video machte die beiden Jungen zu Mördern. Als Inspiration für den Mord soll der Film ¿Child Play III¿ gedient haben, in dem eine vom Teufel besessene Puppe erst ihren Schöpfer tötet und dann selbst in einer langwierigen Prozedur zerstückelt wird. Der Mord an dem 2 Jährigen und die genannte Filmsequenz weisen zahlreiche Ähnlichkeiten auf. Schnell wurde dafür eine Erklärung gefunden. Es wurde alles auf die Gewalt verherrlichenden Filme geschoben. In der heutigen Gesellschaft ist dies ja kein Einzelfall. Ich möchte damit auf die verschieden Amokläufe in den letzten Jahren hinweisen. Für jede dieser Taten wurden die sogenannten Killerspiele wie z.B. Counter Strike verantwortlich gemacht. Doch ist dies denn möglich? Um dies zu verstehen zu können, benötigt man einiges an Vorwissen: Definitionen, Formen, Ausprägungen, die ich nun etwas näher betrachten möchte. Wie im weiteren Verlauf der Examensarbeit ersichtlich wird, ist die heutige Comicwelt sehr heterogen. Pauschalisierende Verurteilungen vollziehen sich nun in anderen Bereichen. So sind die angeblichen früheren Folgen des Comiclesens die heutigen Folgen des Computerspielens. Spiele wie Counter-Strike und Co. bringen nun, wie oft in den Medien behauptet wird, Verdorbene und gewalttätige Jugendliche hervor. Hierbei wird das Urteilsvermögen des Rezipienten zunichte gemacht. Der Rezipient stellt lediglich einen reinen Empfänger dar, welcher der Medienwirkung ausgeliefert ist. In Kapitel 3 wird das Erwähnte, eingebettet in die Historie der Comiclandschaften Deutschland, Japan und Nordamerika, näher erläutert. Kapitel 2 setzt sich mit der Definition des Begriffs Comic sowie mit den verschiedenen Comicpublikationsformen auseinander. Auch in dem zuletzt genannten Kapitel ist die Gattung Comic Problemen ausgesetzt. Der Comicbegriff ist sehr unterschiedlich definiert. Es ist somit nur konsequent, nun auch über deren Nutzen im schulischen Unterricht nachzudenken und Einsatzmöglichkeiten im pädagogischen Alltag zu erörtern. Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Analyse von Zielen, den Bedingungen sowie der Einsatzmöglichkeiten des noch relativ jungen Mediums und zieht daraus ein Fazit. Gemäß Zahlen des Bundesverbands für interaktive Unterhaltungssoftware e.V. (BIU) wurden im Jahr 2013 1,82 Milliarden Euro mit Computerspielen umgesetzt. Neben den wirtschaftlichen Daten ist es von Interesse zu sehen, wo und von wem Spiele konsumiert werden. So wird in 48% der Familien mit Kindern unter 18 Jahren gespielt, während es ohne nur in einem Drittel der Haushalte der Fall ist. Vor allem diese Erkenntnis lässt eine erste Überlegung zu, ob es hier Ansatzpunkte für die Einbindung von Computerspielen im Unterrichtskontext gibt, da Kinder anscheinend die treibende Kraft beim Konsum sind. In Deutschland wurden Videospiele in jüngerer Vergangenheit oft in Verbindung mit Schulattentaten und der Frage nach deren negativen Einfluss auf Heranwachsende gebracht. Counter-Strike wurden argwöhnisch betrachtet und standen sinnbildlich für eine mögliche Gefahr für Kinder und Jugendliche, die den öffentlichen Diskurs dominierte. Doch mittlerweile scheint die Diskussion um zumindest weitere Aspekte ergänzt zu werden bzw. sich auf diese zu verlagern. So erschien die Zeitschrift Der Spiegel in ihrer Ausgabe 3/2014 mit dem Titel: ¿Spielen macht klug. Warum Computerspiele besser sind als ihr Ruf.¿ Im Rückgriff auf die eingangs vorgebrachten Zahlen zur demographischen Verteilung der Spielenden stellt sich nun die Frage, inwiefern Computerspiele eine Option für den Schulunterricht darstellen. Es gilt zu evaluieren, ob man mit bzw. durch interaktive Spiele als alternativen und ergänzendem Medium zu den bisher genutzten, wie Buch, Film und Musik sinnvolle Anknüpfpunkte im Unterricht findet. Stattdessen herrscht gegenüber Erwachsenen oftmals Anstandslosigkeit, Aufmüpfigkeit und Rücksichtslosigkeit vor, was sich vor allem in der Öffentlichkeit häufig bemerkbar macht. Alten Leuten wird nicht mehr die Tasche getragen, die Worte ¿danke¿ und ¿bitte¿ wurden verlernt und öffentliche Verkehrsmittel werden per miserablem Handysound mit neuester Hip Hop Musik durchdrungen. Entwicklungen wie diese sind in einigen Fällen wahrhaftig nicht zu leugnen, ebenso wenig, wie die Tatsache, dass sich Kinder und Jugendliche nachmittags immer mehr in ihr privates Umfeld zurückziehen, um sich mit neuen Medien zu beschäftigen. Aus diesen Gründen sollten Thesen, wie sie in diesem Abschnitt angeführt sind, stets kritisch beleuchtet werden. Die folgende Arbeit beschäftigt sich inhaltlich zunächst damit, welche Gründe für die Veränderungen der Kindheit und Jugend verantwortlich sind, welche Probleme diese Veränderungen mit sich bringen und wie die Institution Schule, angefangen bei pädagogischen Konzepten bis hin zur konkreten Unterrichtsplanung, bestmöglich auf den Kindheitswandel reagieren kann. [...] In dieser Arbeit wird Bewegung, als elementares Bildungsgut, eine zentrale Rolle spielen und als Ausgangspunkt vieler Überlegungen dienen.
