In Schwarz gekleidet, mit Handschuhen und Sturmhaube, läuft er mit einer Pump Gun und einer 9 mm Pistole Marke Clock durch seine Schule und tötet scheinbar willkürlich Lehrer, Angestellte und Schüler. Auch ein Polizist ist unter den Opfern. Im Anschluss an seinen Amoklauf richtet sich Steinhäuser selbst. Die Presse forscht in der Folgezeit im Privatleben des Amokläufers. Schnell wird klar, dass der Außenseiter Steinhäuser sich täglich stundenlange Schlachten am PC liefert. Sein martialischer Auftritt, mit Ninja-Montur und Sturmhaube, läßt Parallelen zum PC-Spiel »Counter Strike« erkennen. Sofort fühlt sich die Öffentlichkeit an das Columbine-Massaker vom 20. April 1999 erinnert, bei dem zwei Schüler an der Columbine Highschool in Littleton zwölf Mitschüler, einen Lehrer und anschließend sich selbst umbringen. Auch sie waren begeisterte Spieler von 3D-Ego-Shootern. Die Ereignisse am Erfurter Johann-Gutenberg-Gymnasium sind seitdem mahnendes Beispiel für die gefährliche Wirkung von Computerspielen. Die angestoßene öffentliche Debatte führt in Deutschland zur Verabschiedung eines neuen Jugendschutzgesetzes, das zur altersgerechten Kennzeichnung von Computerspielen verpflichtet. Zeitgleich tritt der Jugendmedienschutz-Staatsvertrag in Kraft. Die Basis dieser Gesetze ist ein Denkansatz, der davon ausgeht, dass gewalthaltige Computerspiele eine Wirkung auf das Alltagsverhalten des Spielers haben. Im öffentlichen Diskurs ist diese Annahme weit verbreitet, aber ist sie wissenschaftlich auch wirklich fundiert? Kann man ohne weiteres von einer Übertragung der gewalttätigen Handlungen in einer virtuellen Welt auf die tatsächliche Gewaltbereitschaft des Spielers schließen? Diese Fragen sind Gegenstand dieses Buches. Um sich der Thematik zu nähern wird zunächst der PC als Medium vorgestellt, und dabei im Speziellen auf die PC-Nutzung von Kindern und Jugendlichen und Spiele mit dargestellter Gewalt eingegangen. Im Anschluss daran werden einige psychologische Ansätze zu den Wirkungsweisen von gewalthaltigen Computerspielen vorgestellt. Abschließend wird aufgezeigt, welche Maßnahmen der Jugendmedienschutz in Deutschland in Verbindung mit gewalthaltigen Computerspielen ergreift und was Eltern und Pädagogen selbst beitragen können. The need for air superiority weapons was relearned during the Vietnam Conflict and led to an Air Force requirement for an all-weather, single-seat, twin-engined fighter. This aircraft was to optimize counter-air operations. The U.S. Air Force requested several manufacturers to study and develop prototypes during the late 1960's under the FX program (Fighter Experimental). McDonnell Douglas was awarded a contract to develop the F-15 Eagle jet fighter in December 1969. The Eagle's advanced aerodynamic design greatly reduced drag at both the low and high lift configurations, and achieved superior maneuverability during varying flight conditions. Making its maiden flight in July 1972, it was deployed in November 1974 as the F-15A Eagle, and had been in active service since then. It is powered by two Pratt & Whitney F100 afterburning turbofan engines developed exclusively for the for the F-15, and is capable of speeds in the Mach 2.5 range.
