Test: Einzeltest: Fuji Finepix F770 EXR
Zitat: Pro: + Low image noise in EXR-SN mode
Contra: - Softness starting ISO 1600 at 16 MP
The Fuji Finepix F770 EXR expands on the unique feature-set of the F550 EXR Fuji Finepix F550 EXR and remains one of the most sophisticated compact cameras to date. This digital camera uses a revised EXR CMOS-sensor that gives it a top resolution of 16 megapixels, up to 1600% dynamic-range, full-resolution high speed 8 FPS continuous drive, full 1080p HD and high-speed movie capture. This is paired with a new 20X ultra-wide angle optical zoom lens. The F770 EXR also features built-in image stabilization, manual controls, custom white-balance, spot metering, 360-degree motion panorama, a GPS and more. Fuji also sells a model without the GPS, the Fuji Finepix F750 EXR Fuji Finepix F750 EXR .
EXR technology can capture images in one of three mode:
EXR-HR : High-resolution for large prints at low ISO.
EXR-DR : Extra dynamic range for high-contrast scenes and usable for mid-sized prints.
EXR-SN : Low-noise for smooth images in low light and also usable for mid-sized prints.
Without delivering the best image quality in its class, the Fuji F770 EXR turns in a very solid and consistant performance. Dynamic range is stellar with accurate metering, white-balance and focus. This is also one of the fastest compact cameras with quick focusing and good shot-to-shot speeds. The only lag is a 2s delay at the start of video recording.
Those keen on shooting RAW will find the F770 EXR competition-free with exception of its siblings, the GPS-free F750 EXR and F660 EXR which sports a shorter 15X ultra-wide angle optical zoom. Ignoring RAW but without compromising on the optical zoom, 3 competitors appear with only the Canon Powershot SX260 HS Canon Powershot SX260 HS also having full manual-controls..
