Test: Einzeltest: CH Products Eclipse Yoke
Zitat: Good Points: + programmable via CH Products Control Manager
+ can be combined with other CH Products USB controllers
+ lots of buttons and switches
+ variety of type of digital inputs
+ removable / swappable throttle / prop pitch / mix knobs
Could Be Improved: - the “thumb rudder” ergonomics could be better
- flexible “thumb rudder” linkage
- some inputs hard / awkward to reach
Overall, the CH Products Eclipse Yoke is a high-quality controller with robust construction, powerful programming capabilities, and lots of buttons and axes in various flavors. However, some positioning of controls on the Eclipse Yoke are not optimally placed. That is puzzling because the core of the yoke — its pitch, roll, throttle, prop pitch, and fuel mixtures axes — is solid. If you do a lot of sim racing, don´t discard that MOMO quite yet. As a flight sim controller, the Eclipse Yoke is a winner. There is no other yoke that is as versatile, programmable, or customizable. It´s an added bonus that the Eclipse Yoke integrates so well with other CH Products controllers. However, some of the inputs can be awkward to reach. Considering the core 5 axes can be found on the Flight Sim Yoke (MSRP $150, approximate retail $115), you pay more for the Eclipse Yoke (MSRP $250, approximate retail $220) and ultimately you will need to decide if the feature differences are worth the additional expenditure.
