Very good mixer in this price range
The build quality is excellent. No noise and the preamps are very good. Truly a 12 channel mixer. The only thing I don't like is there is no global mute; but I rigged up a switch between the outputs and my equalizer to kill all the signals in case of runaway feedback.
Exceptional small-format mixer
I was using a Mackie DFX-12 for our weekly open mic when it abruptly stopped outputting. Fearing it was dead, I upgraded to this unit, having previously bought its big brother the FX16i. The Mackie was repaired at a reasonable cost, but I was so happy with the Soundcraft that I sold the Mackie to a friend who still uses and loves it. The Mackie is good, but the Soundcraft is a cut above.
This one has become our open mic workhorse, and I continue to marvel at its features and performance.
Excellent features and simple to use
Totally love this mixer. Have purchased about 5 of these and they all work extremely well. Excellent product.
Awesome little mixer. Does the job with nice head-room. Only downside is where they located the off/on switch.
Soundcraft could have done way better here understanding that shutting down the mixer accidentally is not a good thing. Where you ask? Instead of smack dab in the middle under the unit which is a totally drag to get to, at least they could have put the switch far right or far left under the unit for easy finger access. Here's the reason way: "You should never wire up your mixer
