Test: Einzeltest: Samsung BD-D8900
Zitat: The good: + The Samsung BD-D8900 is a great gadget if you just want to have a single box under the TV. Not only does it play back 2D and 3D Blu-ray discs, it can also replace your Freeview box, HDD recorder and more. It´s even capable of converting 2D images to 3D. It comes with a 1TB hard drive, so you´ll find more than enough space to record well over 200 hours of your favourite high-definition TV programmes. The Samsung BD-D8900 features Wi-Fi, so you´ll be able to stream video content. You´ll find Samsung´s Smart Hub present on the BD-D8900, providing the same interface found on Samsung´s latest internet TVs – making it easy to view web content such as BBC iPlayer, YouTube and Facebook. All of these features would be of no use if you couldn´t easily access them, but thankfully Samsung has included an intuitive remote control. Not only is it easy to use, it features overly large buttons, making it comfortable to use at all times.
The bad: - With so many features on offer, it´s hard to pick fault with the Samsung BD-D8900. For us, the biggest fault is the inability to record two channels at once, but it´s not exactly a show stopper.
The Samsung BD-D8900 is a wonderful gadget, and a real jack of all trades. With so many features, it´s easy to think that it would struggle to excel in any one area, but overall the BD-D8900 succeeds in almost everything it turns a hand to.
