Testurteil: "3 out of 5"
Test: Einzeltest: SoundMagic PL30
Zitat: The good: + The SoundMAGIC PL30 earphones offer a great sound per pound ratio, and can easily go head-to-head with similarly priced rivals from the big boys like Sennheiser and Sony – and doesn´t compare too badly with some buds selling for twice the price. You may not have heard of SoundMAGIC much before, but it knows what it´s doing on the sound front.
+ The sound signature of the SonndMAGIC PL30s avoids the pitfalls that other £30 earphones dive into. Bass is strong, but doesn´t dominate the sound too much.
+ These plastic-bodied buds only weigh 10g, helping to make them super-comfortable, even for long listening sessions.
The bad: - With an odd shape and big colour coded sleeves popping out of each earbud (to tell you which is left and right), the SoundMagic PL30 buds aren´t the best-looking headphones on the block. We´d even go as far as to call them downright ugly, especially in the silver finish.
- Thanks to the virtual no-brand status of the SoundMagic name, you probably won´t see the PL30s gracing many shelves down your local high street. Look online and you´ll find them in minutes from headphone specialists, but make sure you´ll get on with the PL30´s acquired-taste looks before hitting the Checkout button
For just £30, the SoundMagic PL30s offer much better sound quality than you´ll get from any bundled earphones. The downside is that they probably won´t make you look cool, thanks to their style-vacuum looks.
