Zitat: MSreco_highend
The Ultrastar 7K4000 HDD from HGST is offered with capacities up to 4TB and is designed for enterprise environments, offering high reliability by specifying a total of 2M hours MTBF. Besides the SATA 6Gbps version we also have available SAS 6Gb/s and for ordering we can easily check out the manufacturers’ website. We could also specify the Advanced Format with 4096-byte sector size and the fact that it uses a total of 5 platters, 800GB each. Since we are discussing about an enterprise drive model, it has been also optimized for lower power consumption during IDLE modes, making it more recommended to be installed inside Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. Of course, HGST also recommends usage for Cloud servers, MSO, Data warehousing and mining, or disk-to-disk backup and archiving. The drive performed well in the performed tests and traded punches with our previously tested Toshiba Toshiba DT01ACA300 drive, which is also a rebranded HGST drive. The Ultrastar 7K4000 HDD comes with a 5-year warranty and can be found online for about 310 Euros.
