Test: Einzeltest: QNAP TS-469L High-performance 4-bay NAS Server for Home & SOHO
Zitat: MSreco_highend
The TS-469L NAS takes part from the more affordable QNAP servers aimed at home users and small offices. The chassis design is similar to the one we have seen with the ASUSTOR AS-604T and their overall performances are also comparable. QNAP have eliminated though the LCD status screen for this version, which we have found very useful on the ASUSTOR and have left only some activity LEDs. Besides the usual NAS functionalities both companies offer, the QNAP comes with the useful and free HappyGet service, that can be used to download our favorite Youtube videos at different quality levels (if available), but also with the more advanced HD Station service. With HD Station installed (along with all of its modules), we can access XBMC 11, the Chrome Browser, Youtube but also the Turbo NAS web interface, so for user interaction we won’t need any other computer at all. For controlling the HD Station interface, we can use the QNAP remote controller (which can be bought separately), a regular MCE remote controller, the USB keyboard/mouse or the Qremote app. The NAS sports a 90mm fan, which is quiet as the manufacturer mentions; the fan will create quite a noticeable noise only at boot-up, when it will remain some seconds at full speed. Also, we can customize the fan profile from the Administration interface. The QNAP TS-469L NAS can be found online for about 522 Euros, very close to the AS-604T.
