Test: Einzeltest: SilverStone Fortress FT03 mATX Tower Case
Zitat: When I first saw the SilverStone FT03 for the first I really didn´t know what to think. I knew I like the way the tower looked but I wasn´t too sure about the whole tower design for a home theatre system. After reviewing it, I know now that I would love to have this case sitting in my living room for the world to see. I know that SilverStone is targeting this case at more than the media bluff out there. And that is evident by the way the case was designed on the inside. The FT03 can house the longest of video cards and the largest of CPU coolers. These are typical components that we see in gaming rigs. And with the FT03 supporting motherboards as large as the mATX standard which can have dual PCIe slots Crossfire and SLI is indeed possible. If you are worried about high temps with the FT03, you really should not. We finished our build with an Intel 2500K, that stayed cool at 27C idle and 57 on load. Pretty good for a smaller enclosure. At this time the SilverStone FT03 can be found at most online retailer for about $160. A very price for what you are getting. The only thing we saw that may be an issue with some is the fact that the FT03 only supports slot optical drives. Finding them locally can be an issue but we did see several online starting at about $40 for a dvd model and over $100 for a Blu-Ray model. The latter can make the FT03 pretty pricey.
