Testurteil: "Good"
Test: Einzeltest: SilverStone SST-FP53
Zitat: Pros: Looks very good with aluminum cases Provides good cooling to drives not being cooled by anything Minimizes hard drive noise
Cons: Whiny fan Cooling cannot compare to case fan
"The main problem with the SST-FP53, or any similarly designed cooler, is necessity. While its performance fares well compared to no hard drive cooling, it cannot compare to a hard drive being cooled by a case fan which is how most modern cases are designed. In addition, though the dampening pads muffle the hard drive´s noise, the SST-FP53´s own cooling fan puts out a whiny noise more annoying than the any noise a hard drive would produce. On the plus side, the SST-FP53 looks very nice; it blends very will with an aluminum case, or any of SilverStone´s cases and case accessories. If your hard drive is currently not cooled by anything, the SST-FP53 is worth considering. Bottom line though, the SST-FP53 more form than function. "
