The important sources of water pollution are domestic wastes, industrial effluents, and agricultural wastes. Despite advances in recent years careful microscopical examination of romanowsky stained peripheral blood and bone marrow films remains fundamental in hematological diagnosis. Since the nineteenth century Romanowsky stains such as Giemsa's and Leishman's have provided the basis of recognizing, and indeed categorizing, the normal and pathological cells of peripheral blood and bone marrow. An advantage of Romanowsky staining for routine hematology is the highly polychrome image produced. Formation of the purple colour, i.e. the Romanowsky-Giemsa effect (RGE), is peculiar to these stains. So distinguishing between nuclear chromatin and basophilic cytoplasm, and between granules and cytoplasm, is harder with routine haematoxylin and eosin (H & E) than with Romanowsky staining.

This book analyzes the geo-economic model of the Brazilian foreign policy. Brazil, as an emerging power, has a different position in the current dynamic international arena. Throughout the study, the main historical concepts of the Brazilian diplomacy were analyzed and compared to the contemporary practice. In the end, it is possible to identify a pattern of behaviour, which is called the Brazilian geo-economic model. The identification of the model spawned the opportunity not only for better understanding of the Brazilian conduct, but also to propose possible improvements, which are made in the last chapter of the study.

Swamp Francolin (Francolinus gularis), a globally threatened bird endemic to the Indian sub-continent is perhaps gradually declining owing to different natural and anthropogenic factors. In order to get familiar with the population status, habitat, and the conservation threats this study was undertaken at Suklaphanta Wildlife Reserve which is the westernmost extent of this bird in Nepal. Population status was estimated by using its unique voice as identification method, which is more pronounced at dawn and dusk and at its zenith especially during the breeding period (Feb-May). This method of call count from different survey points yielded a maximum of 90 pairs of birds to be present in the reserve. Analysis of habitat parameters collected in different quadrates showed that Swamp Francolin population and grass density are significantly correlated (P = 0.070, df = 27) with positive sign. The tree density and the birds number are significantly correlated (P = 0.016, df = 27) with negative sign. Thus we conclude that Swamp Francolin prefers the grassland habitat and tends to avoid the forest land.

Present research work embodies the different methods of Jatropha propagation by using seed germination, stem cutting and tissue culture methods. The extracts of leaf, stem and roots of Jatropha curcas L. were screened in order to study their effects on plant pathogenic fungi, plant pathogenic bacteria and human pathogenic bacteria. Interestingly antibacterial and antifungal nature of plant extracts have been noted. Regarding biochemical analysis of Jatropha species, the studies have made in the part second of the research work and the results are found to be useful in order to record the presence of certain bioactive chemicals in the plants. In order to achieve a mutant ideal plant the studies were carried out by using different mutagenic agents where results showed that certain mutagens are found to be helpful to achieve early flowering and fruiting in Jatropha curcas L.

His aim was to develop a mathematical theory to deal with uncertainty and imprecision. Fuzzy logic and the theory of fuzzy sets have been applied widely in areas like information theory, pattern recognition, clustering, expert systems, database theory, control theory, robotics, networks and nanotechnology. A.Rosenfeld introduced fuzzy graphs in 1975 to deal with relations involving uncertainty. In this book we present basic concepts in fuzzy graph connectivity, which plays a remarkable role in information networks and quality based clustering. This book consists of seven chapters. The first chapter includes motivation and basic results. Arc analysis of fuzzy graph structures, cycles in fuzzy graphs, blocks in fuzzy graphs, cycle connectivity of fuzzy graphs are discussed in the subsequent chapters.
