This is an empirical textbook prepared to highlight the viability of financial leverage in enhancing firms' profitability across real sectors of the economy. Prior to this recent time, earlier literatures have created misconceptions of the negative effect of financial leverage on firms' profitability without exact transmission channel of influence based on theoretical pollutions. On this backdrop, this text made a significant attempt to provide empirical insight on the link between financial leverage as debt finance options and firms profitability for randomly selected firms in a developing country using panel model approach. The static fixed and random effect panel model techniques were employed. The econometric evidence revealed that long term liability, productivity, firms size and liquidity were found to be the major factors enhancing firms profit level in the long-run.

The Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) is becoming one of the most promising applications over next generation networks. With the recent released of IEEE 802.16d/e, IPTV is suitable for delivering multimedia services having high bandwidth and low latency. Importance of perceptual quality has arisen as one of the major issues to successfully deploy IPTV services. Therefore, guaranteeing a certain level of network QoS is well and widely understood, but it is much more important to notice perceptual quality as perceived by the user. In this book, we have implemented, analyzed and evaluated IPTV in wireless local area networks. To evaluate and solve our problems, we have designed a network consists of IP Cloud, HTTP Server, FTP Server which contains Video data, Wireless Servers and Access Points. The modeling is done by the OPNET modeler and performance of each of the server and palate object is evaluated.

The theory of gaining competency for Adolescent Reproductive Health (ARH) policy implementation was inductively generated using grounded theory method.The theory of gaining competency for ARH policy implementation has four progressive, sequential concepts namely: entry into ARH programs, competency development for ARH policy implementation, initiating youth friendly services and implementing youth friendly services. The theory further explains that the process and criteria for identifying ARH policy implementers determines the extent to which the full cycle of gaining competency for ARH policy implementation is achieved. It also shows that the level of institutional support is directly proportional to the level of gaining competency for ARH policy implementation. The implication for policy is that the power to influence policy depends on, among other things, the level of access to knowledge within the context of institutional support, which the full cycle of gaining competency provides. Therefore, the theory recommends that the process of identifying health policy implementers requires an organized procedure that allows for the expression of interest by individuals.

Tourism destinations face various challenges in the implementation of m-technologies and although mobile applications are used by some destinations, many are in their early stages of development. Few destinations have yet managed to develop credible mobile services. In particular, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), which are the backbone of the tourism industry, have struggled to embrace new technologies, e.g. e-commerce applications, which has prevented them from benefiting from new technologies. It is unclear which business model will emerge to make mobile services viable. This study aims to explore the way that tourism destinations deal with these issues and will develop a mobile information model integrated with a mobile destination coding system to help tourism stakeholders optimise their exploitation of m-technologies. The major contribution of this research is Tourism Mobile Information Coding System (TMICS) - a mobile coding information system which aims to provide tourists with destination information through their mobile phones. It is anticipated that the new system will enhance tourism destination stakeholders marketing efforts.

The present study aims to study the biological activities and phytochemistry constituents of Acanthophora spicifera. It includes the evaluation of the extracts for antibacterial activity, Minimum Inhibitory Concentration, Minimum Bactericidal Concentration, total phenolic contents, antioxidant activity and composition study using GC-MS analysis. Among the extracts, methanol and hexane gave the highest biological activities screened. Analysis of gas chromatography (GC-MS)showed the presence of hydrocarbons, fatty acids, aromatic dicarboxylate acid ester and others.This work gave a contribution to knowledge domains in terms of understanding the biological properties of marine algae. Screening of the biological properties also helps in future works on algae as a potential candidates for alternatives clinical drugs from natural products.

Leather is an international commodity and a valuable traditional industry.It provides employment to a large number of people. A tannery can use a great deal of labour and low capital investment. This industry can be established in both developing and advanced countries. The exports are mostly raw hides and skins and some leathers. According the initial result of a recent Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI) survey, there are 1043 tanneries in India with a total installed processed capacity of 62.05 million hides and 161.34 million skins. In Tamil Nadu, leather industry plays a vital role. Tamil Nadu exports 55 per cent of the total leather exports from India. While 70 per cent of the hides and skins produced in the country are tanned in Tamil Nadu. An attempt is made to analyse the growth of leather tannery industry and its impact on the rural poor in Dindigul district of Tamil Nadu. Organizations easily determine the maximum production and profit level through the simplex method in linear programming. This dissertation examined the profit maximization point for dining chair and sofa manufacturing by a Company, through simplex method in linear programming and graphical method. The findings showed that the Company can improve its profit by 2.89% for dining chair and sofa manufacturing cases if it follows the new profit maximizing point that is determined by this study.

This book investigates how different features of the Russian language, such as extremely unpredictable word stress, complex inflectional and derivational morphology, and phonetic vowel reduction, can complicate language acquisition in bilingual children with and without dyslexia, and in particular Dutch-Russian children. As discussed in this book, research on Russian-speaking children with dyslexia will provide further insight into the question of whether orthographic transparency alone can account for the cross-linguistic divergence observed in manifestations of dyslexia. In the present cyber world, it is necessary to have a good understanding about the topic and choose the right query term to retrieve exhaustive, relevant information. Studies of on-line use have revealed that subject searches are the most frequent type of search, yet a surprising number of subject searches (30-50%) fail to retrieve records whatsoever. The causes of search failure appears to be, lack of thesaurus, misspelling, mistyping of search terms and problems in understanding the use of Boolean logic. If a veterinarian lacks domain knowledge, when looking for information on a specific topic, the retrieval process can be a real challenge An attempt has been made in this work to study the role of thesaurus in retrieval of Veterinary information. The aim is to grasp in a better way how a thesaurus can help to improve the retrieval effectiveness by using queries generally utilized by the veterinarians. The study suggests the lexical information can be used as a controlled vocabulary to overcome problems with synonymous and lexical variance and its relational knowledge is potentially useful for identifying preferred term and abbreviation etc.,

Erectile dysfunction(impotence)is the inability to get and maintain an erection that is sufficient for satisfactory sexual intercourse.The development and validation of bio-analytical method suitable for the quantification of drugs in biological matrices was assessed.The method was validated over a concentration range of 5.00ng/mlto1491.74 ng/ml for the drug in healthy adult male human subjects under fed and fasting conditions.. This validation report provides the results of selectivity, matrix effect,sensitivity, linearity, calibration curve standards and quality control samples data,precision and accuracy data,goodness of fit.Pharmacokinetic parameters, bioequivalence parameters,stabilities and food effect were obtained following administration of 100 mg oral dose of the drug for both test and reference product. In fed condition drug is absorbed slowly as compared to fasting condition. The test formulation under fed condition is not bioequivalent with reference formulation in terms of Cmax. In the food effect study,foods lower down the rate of the absorption but the extentis similar.It delayed the mean T,produced a small reduction in K and increaseinT1/2.
