Of course, I know that modular designs aren´t for everyone and there are sound technical reasons for sticking with a more traditional design, but I guess I´m just raising my flag in the modular power supply camp once again. If you´re happy to go without a modular design, or indeed you prefer not to use one, then you can strike this single criticism of the GX 750W from the record. When push comes to shove it´s actually quite difficult to find much to say about Cooler Master´s offering here, and when it comes to power supplies that´s probably a good thing. The GX 750W is so inoffensively solid in both design and performance that it´s hard to fault, and if you´re looking for a workhorse PSU that can handle a high-end system with ease without costing a ridiculous amount of money, then the Cooler Master GX 750W certainly seems to fit the bill. Indeed, it´s that UK price point that really seals the deal when it comes to making this part of the GX range worthy of consideration, with the GX 750W available considerably cheaper than most other reputable 750 Watt power supplies - A fact that could well make it quite a bargain if it suits your requirements.
