Test: Einzeltest: SilverStone 850 Watt Strider Gold Power Supply
Zitat: The new Strider Gold 850W has turned out to be another great power supply from SilverStone. The good begins with the fact the modular design is 100% modular, meaning you can disconnect even the main 24pin and both 8pin power connectors. This allows for the ultimate in cable management opportunities. For anyone who plans on running a dual CPU server or workstation board will be pleased to know that you can use the Strider Gold with it as both of the 8pin connectors are EPS12V spec. The testing revealed some very respectable numbers. All readings were well within specs, never falling below their rated values, even under heavy load. Speaking of numbers, that 850W the Strider Gold offers is powerful enough to supply a dual GPU gaming rig with no problems. If you fall on the side that believe a single 12V rail is better than having multiple 12V virtual rails, then the Strider Gold is just what the doctor ordered with it´s single 12V capable of 70A output. After performing a quick Google shopping search we found the Strider Gold 850W going for as low as $170. This makes it a bit more expensive than the Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 800W, but cheaper than the popular Seasonic X-850. All of which are good company to be in.
